Gulliver's Travels continues

Act I The Alpha Summit is done; on to Act II The Null Zone

Set in a hyper-optimized, post-democratic techno-dystopia, Gulliver’s Travels: The Broligarchy follows Samantha Sharp, a journalist turned digital exile, who washes ashore in Gigaland, the last stronghold of algorithmic rule. Here, power is dictated by Influence Scores™, truth is replaced by metrics, and gods are made of code.

This is political satire, but there’s a whole story that includes sex, violence and intrigue in an absurdist future technofascist America!

Act I is done. What did you miss?

Samantha Sharp washes ashore after a tragedy at sea. Waking alive on a beach near the luxe resort Maralardo, she finds herself in the worlds most absurd technofascist state, Gigaland — where power is data, politics is branding, and the AI OptiMAGA rules like a god. Disguised as thought-fluencer and seen as a simple-minded GigaBimbo™, Sam becomes the glitch in the algorithm and rockets to a voting position during the secretive Alpha Summit. She votes in the re-election of President ✨DAX™️✨, and is instantly betrayed but his envious wife, Teflonia, who fabricates a sex tape of Sam and destroys her hard-won InfluenceScore™. Sam is immediately cast down to the lowest rung of society, the sterile Null Zone™ — bare, forgotten, and stripped of everything, a prisoner of the system she never intended to enter.

But Sam isn’t gone. Sam’s story isn’t over. It’s just been optimized for rebellion.

Read a scene from Act 1 as Sam gets a close look at the Titans, who run Gigaland, in their favorite playground, Maralardo:

Chrome and a familiar smile flash across my face. A sharp black tee and a pair of khakis that say, “I don’t do meetings; I do squats.” And then he’s gone in the crowd. Marco. The name comes back in a flush of heat, and I can see his eyes peeking over the top of his shades again. I lead with my tongue, teasing the straw into my mouth before sucking gently, deliberately, my eyes fixed on his. A fun game just before the president’s mitt plasters itself on my ass. Marco will never ask me what my SoulMate Score™ is or if I’ve ever had my System Overclocked. He’ll just show me the back room after hours, and sometimes that’s all a girl needs.

The party goes on, my mouth vomiting the smoothest technobabble while the rum punches come in waves. I run my alcohol suppressant routine again and again, flushing my system with detoxifiers from the wristicle. It’s either that or pass out and end up in the Optimization Lounge™ again with a larger set of SignalEnhancers™, an even smaller dress and an overwhelming self-directive to knob off the president in public at all hours of the day. I’d seen the displays in neon pink and green in the lounge, running lists of thought optimizers and bio-enhancers that can turn any climber into a Grade A GigaBabe™. And I’ve seen enough of them here to stay sober.

EmotiDoll™. BrandMaid™. Everywhere I look, I see the glossy eyes, adaptive breast enhancements, and chromatic hair color that shifts in the light to match engagement trends. Smiles gleaming like moonbeams from sculpted faces that will eviscerate the average womans’ AttractiRate Score™.

I press flesh and wow ✨DAX™️✨’s closest bros with deft verbiage and max cleavage, all to a thundering dub beat, then nearly freeze as a young woman walks by, her internal monologue scrolling in air captions over her head just under her Influence Score. She smiles when she sees me, all fake teeth and absent squint lines, and my gaze locks onto the scrolling words as her thoughts literally tick into existence in the air. And just as quickly, she’s gone, and I grab another drink from a drone server, wishing it was Marco, who at least seems interested and whose judgments about me aren’t on full display.

She turns out to be the least of my worries.

🎭 The Broligarchy: Part Two – Glitch Protocol

What’s next?

Stripped of her Influence and cast into the screaming static of the Null Zone™, Sam now wakes in a world where ads never stop, food comes in paste, and escape is just a trending illusion. Here, ambition is punished. Hope is televised. And the only way up… is through The Lag™, a deadly, ratings-obsessed gauntlet where survival is monetized and suffering is branded.

But Sam has never followed the script. What begins as another twisted episode in the System’s endless cycle of control soon sparks something deeper—an underground movement, a whispered resistance, a virus in the feed. They call themselves The Glitch. And they’ve been waiting for her.
